Soils for Europe Conference
Coimbra, Portugal
The "Soils for Europe" conference brings together researchers, policymakers, and land managers to talk about the latest innovations from across the EU. The event is co-organised by the SOLO project and several other EU Mission Soil projects. It is a great opportunity to see how research is translating into practical solutions for our land, environment, and ultimately - health.
The Call for Abstracts is open until 31 March.
We invite you to participate in the conference with your work. Whether you are into scientific research or practical soil management, let us hear from you.
You can submit your work for either an oral or poster presentation on any of the following topics:
-
Reduce land degradation and desertification
-
Preserve and increase soil organic carbon
-
Stop soil sealing and reuse urban soils
-
Reduce soil pollution and enhance restoration
-
Prevent erosion and improve soil structure
-
Improve soil literacy and citizen engagement
-

-
Boost monitoring and soil data
-
New technologies for soil health
-
Enhance soil biodiversity
-

The second day of the Conference will be dedicated to a Marketplace featuring Mission Soil projects and Living Labs. The Living Labs are real-life "laboratories" where people work together to test and implement what has been researched. If you are part of such, we encourage you to take this opportunity to share your experience and connect with experts.
To register your Living Lab, please reach out to Monica Farfan at monica.farfan@idiv.de.
